North Carolina’s largest newspaper is seeking a fulltime business news intern for the summer of 2012. Observer interns write breaking news, enterprise, and features off business subjects ranging from US Airways to funeral homes. Our 10-member business staff has consistently been voted among the best in the nation for newspapers of our size by SABEW (the Society of American Business Editors & Writers). We’ve won top awards in news, enterprise, and multimedia journalism. The Observer is a McClatchy newspaper and your stories will appear in many of the company’s 32 newspapers.
